That's Carson off to the side. He replaced Lawford after Frank has a falling out with the Kennedy's over his mob ties.

I knew that was Carson. I didn't know he was considered a member of the Rat Pack at some point.

He wasn't, but he took Lawford's place on stage when Frank had that falling out with the Kennedys. Bobby Kennedy thought Sinatra's ties to organized crime were too close. A snub was made. Not the first time the Kennedys snubbed a Rat Pack member.

Forgot to add that he was blind in one eye... had a glass eye...

No, the glass eye wouldn't have been a problem unless he was wearing one of his designer eyes or his patch. But now you made me snicker for a totally different reason. Dad had a glass eye. He also had false teeth. At night, his teeth went in a glass dish in the medicine chest and his glass eye went in a shot glass on the next shelf up. Imagine being 4, climbing on the sink to get your tooth brush, looking in the medicine chest and having it not only look back at you, but smiling at the same time.
