When autocorrect recommended the word, I stopped and thought hard. Defensibly, it turns out, works better.

Okay, I'm not embarrassed to admit it when I'm wrong. I honestly thought there was no such word as defensibly. So, I just went to a real dictionary....and there it was!
Color me: gobsmacked! LOLOL

That's okay. When I read your post, I went to the dictionary and my initial feeling was proved right. Most people will glance and think it said defensively. In case you hadn't guessed, there are a few writers in the family. I'm not one, but I can usually hold my own in a barroom BS session.

The girls in the family don't even try, but I think the next generation, girls included, will more than hold their own. I've already seen them in a BS session
