There was a Captain Kangaroo blog that was fun by a clown that, I understand, was good. But the man that operates it and owned the rights to the name Captain Kangaroo, died suddenly at the age of 41. The rights are a part of his estate and are available.

IIRC, they the man that played the Captain, had no experience with kids. Middle aged bachelor. He didn't have the experience with kids.
