Like he said, Islam is an idealogy and Muslims are people. You can criticize and hate ISLAM without hating MUSLIMS.
The problem is that roughly 10% of Muslims are considered radicals, which means there's 160 million radical Muslims. Also stats say about 300 Muslims believe in the death penalty for leaving Islam.
Again, Christianity in 2017 is very different from Islam in 2017. There aren't 300 million Christians who believe you should be killed for leaving Christianity. There aren't Christian theocracies today but most Islamic nations are. There aren't a bunch of Christian majority countries following religious laws like there are Muslim majority nations that do, in 2017.
Islam will never evolve because sharia law is too tied to its core principals.
