Thanks everyone, and especially you, Moshii for being my cheerleader and helping me achieve it! I don't like begging for points, but this close to my goal on the day I wanted to achieve it. I can't thank everyone enough!

it's either get some people to go through your stuff, or spend all night/day commenting on things to get those points. can't just leave it that close to a milestone lol

I don't know how you knew I was a Red Dwarf fan, so that pic is super special. Of course, I did a quick upvote run on some of your memes and had to leave a comment on the bad luck Brian one from 2 weeks ago. That actually happened to me over New Years weekend when I hit 100K and had my first front page meme and was one of the top 10 posters for the week.

i'm a sucker for good, british comedy :) and that had to be one of my fave bits from the show, for so many reasons lol

First Brit-Com I saw was Doctor In The House. 1970, IIRC. Just started high school. Discovered MPFC a couple years later and have had the last 23 years highly influenced by it. My younger brother was also a Python fan.

My son got me interested in Red Dwarf. Someone asked me how to describe that show. I thought for a moment and said, "If Star Trek and Monty Python's Flying Circus ever had a bastard child, it would be Red Dwarf".

Up until PBS really got rolling, we didn't have a lot of British programing here in the States. Mostly whatever Sir Lew Grade could sell here. PBS introduced me to Benny Hill, Doctor Who, Dave Allen, and a host of other shows.

I don't watch much TV these days. Had gotten out of the habit years back because I worked nights and hated what was on in the daytime. I do watch a bit of DVDs. Just got a box set of season one Ranma 1/2. Japanese anime has been real popular here for the last 3 decades. The grandkids go from tolerate British comedy to outright living it. I have MPFC on VHS and Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy on DVD. I HAD several seasons of Red Dwarf, but my daughter's ex boyfriend pawned them for booze money.

I'm building up my library. I know, I can watch most kn the internet for free. And I will when I get it hooked up here. Meanwhile, I watch what I feel like on the computer.

I have one granddaughter that loves coming over to watch the videos I have. She also brings some of her own to watch. She goes ape over the British comedies. I introduced her to red Dwarf and she loves it.

haha awesome. a hard copy of things is always good. my parents were a bit blown back by us not having a tv set up at all. we just don't use it. it does make it a bit harder to find "new" content to watch, but since having our baby and moving house/changing pc layout, we haven't really watched anything together
