He's probably relieved. Having been a manager/co-owner I have had many customers I was happy to see go. They are usually a pain in the ass and make unreasonable demands and say shit like..."Do you know how much I spend here a month?" To which I would reply..."Yes, I do...and you detract time from my customers that pay real money. So...there is the door. Have a nice day"
