Logic dictates we have no way of "controlling" Citizens who decide to commit criminal acts , but we do have the way to control our borders to keep non-citizens who may want to kill us. So its apples and oranges. As ex-LEO and Ex- military I carry a gun to protect myself and my friends and neighbors. You have no plan so that"s why you just deflected my question , so you can try and stir the pot more. You want to gamble with refugees that could be terrorists , go ahead and take them home with you.
You know nothing about them or their teachings that you are an infidel and they will cut your head off if given the chance.
I'll throw this at you...If an outbreak of a deadly disease occurred in the middle east and if it came to the US it would kill 1/2 the population would you still want to allow immigration ?

List all the steps refugees go through for vetting or drop this issue.

Identification , which is lacking from countries with no functioning government, references and cross checking reports and captured intel , Fingerprint matches taken from IED and confiscated weapons< interviews with immigration officials and other organizations,, running them through facial recognition, also cross checking social media and cell phone tracing, as well as possible DNA tests in extreme cases where terrorist ties are suspected.
And by the way , I ain"t dropping this issue since the Security of The United States is an issue and should even concern Everyone in this country since they want us destroyed.You are always welcome to fly over there and help them fight for themselves like we Have for our Country !

Oh, so you understand that refugees are currently not "unvetted." Got it.

They are not Vetted like they need to be due to lack of information available , so Keep them out of the US and help them over there as a precaution.

So thousands of murders by Americans = let mentally ill people buy guns, but
? murders by refugees = vet by some unknown extra amount.

Your arguement has no statistics to back it up , yet the world trade center bombing, then destruction, embassy bombings and attack on the USS Cole speak volumes about a "religion of peace"...and PS...Our Military Vets aren't mentally Ill like Diane Feinswine says...You are a shameful American , if you are one.

You have a far greater chance of being killed by an American than by one of these refugees, yet you wet yourself over one risk and tolerate the other. That tells me you either don't understand how to evaluate risk or you don't actually care about the risk. Which is it?
