Repeal Obamacare!!!

Say what you want, but one of the things I enjoy about living in Israel is national healthcare. I'd have been dead a couple of times in the U.S. and a friend of mine with a Parkinsons like neurological problem got the brain implants that allow him to not shake all the time for free. People here who are fat get surgery or drugs to treat their obesity for almost free. 3 months of diabeetus pills costs like $17. Y'all fighting the wrong thing. National healthcare is wonderful. You can still get private service if you want. They just make sure people aren't dying in the street and spreading tuberculosis and all kinds.

I get all my healthcare through the VA because I'm a veteran....I still have a small copay for most prescriptions...

We do too. We also have a "health tax" which varies by income, so it's not entirely free-free. It sure beats having untreated crackheads in every corner though. It's one of those things I think is worth it. I don't know if it's a good idea to make it a federal thing though. The U.S. is just so big. Maybe it should be one of those things that state governments should handle. Big difference between managing health insurance for 8 million people vs. 300 million people.

I am living in one of the communist ;-) northern European countries. Of course we have a health care program from the government to. It costs a shitload of money (individual tax wise and nation wise) but, also here you will not die on the street. I do understand the reluctance from many Americans that they do not want to government telling them what to do, like mandatory health insurance. It is up to the people to decide. BUT i think some thing you cannot oversee or estimate as an individual. If you get seriously ill cost get into the 100K figure easily. Without insurance you cannot pay this as a normal person. Is it not the governments task to at least protect individuals regarding these risks that cannot be overseen or estimated by a normal person. Is it not like you crash your car and you do not have the means to buy a new one. This is your life you are talking about. I don't know.
