Dry cleaning is a good start. It costs more to dry clean women's clothing than it does men's.

More by weight? What do you mean "more"?

A few years ago on the UK Marks & Spencer started charging more for bigger bras, saying that larger bras cost more to produce. The big boob girls cried discrimination. But it's apparently ok for the small bras to subsidise the price of the big bras.

If you're dry cleaning clothes that take more time to dry clean, more should be paid.

As a husky male, I know I pay more to buy a pair of pants because I wear a larger size. It's been like that for years.

I'm not talking a load of clothes. Dry cleaning is not done by weight. A plain white blouse costs more to clean and press than a plain white shirt.

A skirt and jacket costs more to clean and press than a pair of slacks and a jacket.

It's got nothing to do with the amount of material either. Wanda Whale pays the same as Penelope Petite for the same piece of clothing, regardless of size. Meanwhile, Larry Lardass pays less for his clothes to be cleaned and pressed than the same Penelope Petite.

Having had a wife and two daughters, plus a dad that worked for a dry cleaner, I had some practical knowledge.

There's other things that women pay more for than men, but that was an industry wide standard.

I'm not sure how much it costs them to have their hair trimmed, but a simple trim generally costs more than a guy getting a trim.

When my ex and I first considered getting a divorce, one thing I discovered was that because our oldest girls was 12, it'd cost me an extra $40 a month in child support and would increase more when our younger daughter hit that age. As you pointed out bras, other items pertaining to young women were costly. A boy can get by with a few pairs of slacks, shirts, tees, socks, drawers, as well as gym shorts and a single jock strap. Girls have slacks, jeans, dresses, socks, panties, pantiehose, bras, slips, and usually add make up, hair ties, jewelry, etc. Guys want our girls, daughters and wives, to look their best.

On more than one occasion, I've sprung for a girlfriend's birth control pills.
