Inspired by Modda's "Mad Dr. Mad" meme. Pulp art week 2 with a twist

And I read memes from folks that have run out of ideas.

Some that make it the front, I look and wonder if I'm missing something?
Most are good, but some are recycled lame jokes or old gifs from elsewhere (You mean that's NOT your cat?). Others can show Bad Luck Brian captioned with the word, "FART" and it's got 64 upvotes, 2,676 views, and 87 comments.

Meanwhile others are struggling to come up with something original and hardly anyone pays them any mind.

I've seen some good ones on page one, lately, I mean, ones really good. But then there are some that I'm like WTF??? Especially the downer socio-political whining memes. The key, I guess, is getting friends outside of imgflip to share your memes. I usually share on Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter. I'd share on Imgur, but there isn't a share button for that. Reddit? F*geddaboytit.

I struggle along. I try to keep original, but it doesn't always happen. I posted one a few weeks ago that at the same time it featured, Raydog had the same meme on the front page. I rarely check the hot pages unless I see one of my memes moving fast, with a lot of views.

I notice that the more people comment on a post, that seems to move it better, but most people won't comment or upvote: Iike it costs them money. I notice the people that complain about no comments or upvotes don't make many comments. One post asked why a guy that has over 600 posts only had 40K points. He's been here over a year, has a 90% feature rate, but only 42 comments. Less than one a week. Look at my stats in just under 2 months. Yeah, I had a page one meme just before the end of the year, and that helped me get on the leaderboard for a few days, and it helped me Meet my 100k goal by the end of the year.

I don't spend much time on FB. Had posted some of my earlier memes (I joined here in June) there, but not lately. Initially I just made memes for a forum I'm on a lot, an alternative music site called AltScene, but only one person I know there was posting mine on her FB, and she's gone now.

I recently joined Tumblr, but so far just looked at pics of chunky babes with big boobs, haha. Haven't spent enough time to figure out what to do there or how.
I've been on Pinterest hunting for Cosplay babes for memes,,,

I use my comma elipses {{ ,,, }} to signify the caption is original, but the few I've borrowed are for the occasional "You mad, bro?" or "Come at me" Jesuses.

I just started commenting in November, not even knowing of the front page because I got into the site through the Ghetto Jesus meme template. I learned the hard way to try to avoid the political stuff, cuz yikes! First election I've ever seen where the winning side is more angry than the others. I think some of those trolls downvote my stuff like crazy, so I make just memes for fun or AltScene. But I put much effort with the phrasing lettering, so to see a "_______ SAYS GIVE ME UPVOTES!" meme be a hit, like what's the point? Half an hour creating one and it doesn't get seen?

The community aspect with some of the nicer folks is real nice tho,,,

Started new thread here as we hit the end. Hope you're over the flu. Am havingy annual bout with bronchitis, but have my bottle of gin close. Should last into next year's bout.

I joined last year because I was the main contributor to a political page. At that point, I was still hopeful for our system, but due to circumstances beyond my control, I couldn't use my computer to make and upload. As is, I still have a lot of ducks to put in a row.

I liked the site here, so I didn't post the memes here. It wasn't until I got disgusted with the party corruption that I contacted the page owner and advised him that he was going to have to take over the page because I was dropping it. I worked at a national level, he's taken the pahecto a local level.

Right now, I've put on a request to imgflip to see if they will allow us to filter out political posts. If they don't come through, I'm sure some investor will be happy to invest in a competing site that will allow that.

I finally canceled my account in October because of the political crap. Deleted it with several memes to post and kn the verge of 200K points. What you see on my profile is what I've done since my return in November. If I do post a political meme, I try to stress humor more than political standpoint. If imgflip does allow us to start filtering out political memes, it will make the bullies upset. They can be ignored, which they hate.
