"Now, the Abortion thing is understandable. Do you support Sharia Law?"
1.) Still irrelevant
2.) No, religion should not govern the people

I am indeed trying to sketch a point here. I didn't want to go the clichè route, but here goes:

Dare we ban cars,( which are not constitutionally protected, unlike firearms), in order to keep the road safer, just because some cannot drive responsibly?

This is the way I see it:

Right wing: " If everyone has a gun, there is no gun violence."
Using that same logic, the following statement should be true: If everyone had a car, there will be no traffic.

False equivalency. Traffic violence is a result of many people owning cars, gun violence is a result of few people proportionaly owning guns.

Could the airport shooting happen if the shooter didn't have a gun?

Then it would've been an airport bombing.

After you've violated someone's constitutional rights, that is.

Yet he didn't choose a bomb. He chose a gun.

No shit. If he wanted to kill people at an airport, he would've chosen the next best thing.

Actually, many if not most shooting rampages in the US are done with handguns, partly because they are easier to keep concealed until you get to your intended target location.

I have no authority on how to shoot up a place, but that is not what I wouldn't use. Not that I should be talking about this kind of stuff on the Internet,.

You don't know that. Bombs are hard to make, and they're not allowed on airplanes
3 ups, 8y
Bombs are absolutely not hard to make.

And obviously he has no respect for the law. His gun was checked. Then he went into the bathroom, grabbed his gun, and starting going LEEEROOOYY JEEEANKIINNS on the citizens nearby. Who's to say that he couldn't have hidden a bomb? I know that it is hypothetical, but using a handgun is not exactly the best or easiest way to commit an indiscriminate killing rampage.

Also, no matter how hard you try, you will not be able to repeal the second amendment.

Would the 9/11 terror attacks happened if we had banned razor knives?

If they were banned from airplanes, then probably yes

Riiight. Sound reasoning.

The thing is, they were.

You clearly don't understand the message of the meme. Airports are full of police officers and armed guards, yet none of them were able to stop the shooter from killing five innocent people.

I don't think you understand what should've been done. Do you suggest disarming police?

No, I suggest disarming the general public. It's not like guns helped save lives here.

These "armed security guards" and "police officers" are not the "general public." Police are the ones that YOU claimed where everywhere, and YOU said that they did nothing. Thus, your suggested disarming of the general public is irrelevant and a clear violation of the 2nd amendment.

Also, you cannot compare Trump to Hitler when you've just suggested disarming if the general public. If you're so scared of Trump, shouldn't you be worried of a disarmed public?

1.) 'General public' was a reference to the shooter, who was not an armed guard, but rather a regular person
2.) You were the one who brought up Trump, not me.

1) Yeah, I realize that, but your meme is going against those who had the potential to stop the shooting (security guards and cops)

2) I know, I'm jus' saying

If you know you brought up Trump, why did you try to blame me for it?

"Also, you cannot compare Trump to Hitler..."
In which 'you' in your statement refers to me
2 ups, 8y,

I didn't blame you for anything, though based on your political opinions, I wouldn't be surprised if you've done so.

Care to address the rest of my argument?

The point is, if armed people weren't able to stop this shooting, what's the point of guns?
2 ups, 8y
He was the only one in the general public that was armed, wasn't he?

"He was the only one in the general public that was armed, wasn't he?"
You keep failing to see the point. Guns do not protect us. They kill us.
2 ups, 8y
Typical emotional fearmingering, decorated with a beautiful blanket statement.
Also, I have a point that will be tied back in to the argument: do you support abortion?

1.) Abortion was not to topic of the meme
2.) No, unless it endangers the life of the mother

Fearmongering*

Whoops.

Now, the Abortion thing is understandable. Do you support Sharia Law?
