There was no specific criteria given to the voting panel other than the account had to be created after 12-31-15.

if so, why not I and some others who are new users of last year not put up as nominees if that is the case. I am not trolling nor am I trying to be a pain in the neck, but please clarify for the sake of our high Imgflip integrity.

If you feel memers were left off feel free to nominate them, that's why this is open to everyone for nominations. Many of the ones listed are on one or both leaderboards. It's extremely tough competition.
