Let's clarify... It's still illegal for anyone to have sex with minors.

It just means that the minors themselves, who are usually victims of sex trafficking, won't be considered criminals, also.

BTW... I am FAR from a Liberal.

doesn't change the identity of the people pushing for this law. granted there are some people pushing for the reason you state but that doesn't mean all of them. (See the new bathroom law for charlotte north carolina)
