1: Avoid making too many meme about memes, meme making, and img flip. It's cool if you post a "thanks for putting me to {goal}" I had three goals for 2016, first to make 50K by my one month anniversary, which I felt was doable. The next two, hit 100K before year's end and make front page were dreams, and I made them to see how close I'd come. By last Monday, I was sure I might make the 100K mark, but front page? I did that last Friday. I submitted my thank you meme, but it never featured. Moved on. Next goal? I do it based on Flippers likes of my memes and myself. I have one, I work at it, I get rewarded.
2: Try and respond to all comments, especially with intellect and wit. Raydog didn't get to be number one by ignoring those that comment on his posts, nor does he trash talk those that he might disagree with. Keep positive and avoid personal attacks.
3: Understand your audiance. You are playing before a world wide audiance. Talking about a local concern and focusing on that specific concern may not draw people to your cause and keep them disinterested. Eg: post a pothole complaint. Bad idea: don't you just hate that pothole between Main and Jefferson on 3rd Street? It cost me 100 bucks to fix my front end. Good idea: the potholes are in bloom and it looks like s bumper crop. I bumped so many that it cost 100 bucks to fix my front end. Not everyone will identify with the pothole on third, but they will identify with potholes in general. (Note to self. Make pothole meme)
4: upvote and comment on other memes. It's a good place to air gripes if they're relevant to the conversation. Upvote, comment, and upvote anyone that comments on your comments. It's rare when someone comments on a post, so acknowledge it. You earn points for their comments after all. But most important, comment whenever you can. You can also get ideas for memes by commenting. See potholes above.
