Wronger than wrong. Where I live there have been 3 vigils in the last month for officers killed in our area and for officers killed hundreds of miles away in our state. Your bs attitude is adding to the division. Stop playing the victim.

My son used to be a policeman but he's now paralyzed in a wheelchair-so don't tell me I have a ba attitude.

Well, it is covered by the media, but no one seems to have any empathy for the police, and instead call the police the 'perpetrators', while scummy actors are written down in the history books, glorified.

1 in 5000 officers are killed annually, thats a 0.02% chance of being killed on the job. Taxi drivers and store clerks are more likely to killed on the job than cops are. Cops are too paranoid, and for no good reason.

Are you saying we don't need them? Are you saying their lives are irrelevant? Are you saying the worries they and their families have aren't real? The stats that your pointing out don't seem accurate either.

There are over 900,000 law enforcement in America. according to CNN, 64 were shot dead in the line of duty. that's 1 in every 14,063, giving a 0.007% chance to every officer that they will be shot and killed. The 1 in 5000 is taking into account not only shootings, but workplace accidents such as wrecks. guess I should have said died or killed.
