Ghost can you help me understand something about time and features?

I'll do my best. What's the question?

Whenever I try to time my submission it never works out. People tell me it takes 5-6 hours for a gif to feature so when I submit at 3pm anticipating a 8-9pm feature it features then or later then when I submit one at around 1pm it features within 2 hours and disappears into the vacuum.

With the new posting times (every 15 minutes) I'm as clueless as everyone else. There is no "every 5-6 hour" piece at play though, I can tell you that much. Both my gifs featured within 2 hours this morning. It's more to do with when the mods approve things, but they don't seem to do it at the same time everyday now.

I've also submitted two customs and a popular template at the same time. The two customs featured in just over an hour, but the popular template took 9 hours.

That makes sense (not the part about popular template taking longer) I didn't know about the feature every 15 thanks for the info ghost it's appreciated
