Just got he from spending the day with daughter's family. I'm not used to getting much at Christmas, because what I lack on material gifts, I get back in hugs. This year, I made a decent haul. Hugs and material items.

How do you do birthday presents? Do you combine them with Christmas presents?

In all the years we were married (divorced last month) I made sure she got something for each occasion. Through good times and bad, she always got the anniversary present Christmas Eve day. Christmas morning, she had her present(s) under the tree to open. After dinner, she got her birthday present(s)

Others combined gifts, but not me.
