I never expected to hit the top 100 and I sure didn't expect the top 10. Now in less than a year I've done all of that and managed to make 2million points. You all are awesome! I am so glad when I decided to start making memes I found ImgFlip! Thanks a million ghost ;-)

I want to start a new trend. Something for new users Socrates and I were talking about it awhile back. Not sure exactly what yet but I think maybe helping them
Get their first front pager would be cool.

I like it. Personally I wouldn't want that because I want the feeling of earning my first front pager. I'm still bummed my first front pager only stayed there for 3 hours when only the night crew would have seen it on the front page.

Other people have different motivations though and I think some would love just being on the front page.

It's hard to get a good community push right now I think. Page 9 Parties have seen way lower attendance since Halloween. I don't think Page 9 even means an automatic front page for any of the memes anymore. There was a stretch where 3-6 from each week's party would make it front page.

I think the page 9 parties went from being a way to help new users to being a way for scoring an easy 5 or 6 thousand points for some users and it lost it's fun for me. I'm not set on the front page meme thing, but I think maybe even just a weekly introduce yourself meme would help get the new users involved and feeling like they are wanted and welcomed.

Yeah, and now the comment threads are only on one or two memes for the most part. New batches every 15 minutes also hurts since not everyone can make it right at 9 either.

I still haven't decided if I like the 15 minute batch or not lol it seems like everything features faster but it doesn't stay in the latest very long. I think it's cool that more memes are featured through out the day though. There is always something new to look at.
