True story. I've always had full time jobs either manufacturing or inspecting. A few years ago I was inspecting composite parts that go on Sikorsky helicopters. The boss was a dick. At times bitching out employees who made mistakes or failed to read his mind and that was done on the production floor, not in private. As an inspector I was always aware of what could happen if any part failed our tests. Either an aircraft could go down resulting in loss of lives, or we could lose our biggest customer. Many times I made him aware of part failures and he told me to lighten up, they aren't flight essential. I asked him, " If any part falls apart and hits a flight essential part and destroys it, aren't they all flight essential? " After that I never got a raise, or employee of the month and my overtime was cut.
