We need a constitutional amendment requiring all federal positions up for vote include "NONE OF THE ABOVE". If the candidates can't beat none of the above, nobody gets the electorial votes for the state. If they can't meet the minimum EC votes, they get disqualified (including their Veep choice) and a new election is held. Current Veep would ascend to president pro tem until secondary election held. Parties would be forced to select real candidates if they want the White House.
As for the House and Senate, if None of the above beats out the candidate, the seat would remain empty until the redo election actually produces a winner.
