Citizens in the U.S. are already taxed into poverty and the debt continues to climb. How do you suggest Trump is going to solve this without furthering the divide between the wealthy and the growing numbers of the poor?

Maybe by collecting on foreign debt, and taking away some of the tax write offs for the very wealthy.

Taxing the wealthy more just causes issues. The poor have been after that agenda for a very long time and have made little-to-no progress. Even so, we're talking $20 Trillion and even the wealthy don't have that kind of cash.

Well there's a number of ways and other ways that a brilliant businessman like Trump will think of. Obama raised taxes and even fined people for not having obamacare, yet the debt increased by 10 trillion, a record under one President. So obviously taxing people isn't the answer.

Reducing government is crucial and we need to stop giving money to other countries. Taxing poor people isn't helping the government, it only hurts the economy. People that make under 40k will pay zero taxes. At the same time, the wealthy produce the most jobs so cutting taxes for their bussinesses, reducing regulations and repealing obamacare will all help create more jobs.

A good place to start may be to downsize our military spending...

Then I think about how many assholes are out there: ISIS, North Korea, Russia, China, etc.

And if we don't spend enough, they'll be HERE!

If the people hired to keep us safe weren't profiting by the defense budget I'm sure we could resolve it better.

I'm not sure who, exactly, you're referring to, though I THINK you're referring to civilian government officials, rather than military personnel.

But I think there will always be assholes wanting to take over the world (insert Pinky and the Brain meme), and I, for one, don't want the U.S. to be caught with its metaphorical pants down when they try. Our current state of readiness keeps many of the assholes from even considering trying something now, but I have no doubt that they're just biding their time and watching for their chance.

I DO agree that there needs to be a cleansing of the government (one of the main reasons that I supported Trump over ALL the politicians, particularly the career politicians like Hillary) to get rid of all the influence-buying that goes on. One of the troubles is that the ones we need to have FIX the problem ARE the problem.

I also think the general public is too lazy to do what needs to be done, rather than think they're too stupid to know what needs to be done.
