When people break criminal law, they go to jail. That breaks up families too. You can't ask us to stop enforcing laws because it might break up families. It is the fault of those in the family who broke the law, not the system that enforces the law.
(Besides, for people who are supposedly sooooooo concerned with the family, they sure have no problem with out of wedlock birth rates or high rates of divorce)
