Well, this isn't the first time a Democrat who lost has insisted on a recount, but that was one state and could have changed the outcome. What is stupid, is that there is no way a recount could change the result. Hillary may have won the popular vote, but Trump is way ahead on Electoral votes. The recount could have to change the result in multiple states. That's not gonna happen.
