My point is that DeNiro hasn't done anything to deserve this, unless it's our country's version of being knighted for being an actor. Medal of freedom should be something given to those men and women who fought for freedom.
While a fair point, most of the people who got it were actors. Ellen degeneres. Robert Redford. And athletes, such as Kareem Abdul Jabar and micheal Jordan. So maybe it is like being knighted, cause none of the recipients were military.
I MAY NOT BE A VET, BUT I WAS IN ONE MOVIE ABOUT WAR; SO I DESERVE THE MEDAL OF FREEDOM BECAUSE...BECAUSE...WELL, THERE MUST BE SOME GOOD REASON FOR THIS.
