Not all Indians are dumb Indians...The Alaska Natives enjoy the Pipeline running thru Alaska and crossing many streams and rivers safely. They work for the Pipeline security company too !

I'm NOT referring to the Native Americans of which I am part native American. I am referring to the cops who are following orders to shoot them with rubber bullets, blast them with water cannons in below freezing temperatures, throwing smoke and tear gas canisters at them, etc.

Well if they weren't out there protesting the cops wouldn't be there now would they ?

Okay, I see the switch here. Why are they out there protesting in the first place? Could it possibly be because the people who want to build the pipeline are also trespassing on their land or are they out there for no reason?

The Pipeline is not on Indian land , it is on state and federal land and went thru years of permitting and Enviro Impact studies costing Millions of Dollars, The Local Indians did not even get involved in that process. What Happened next was The Enviro Nazis out of California that are against All oil companies went and stirred them up with lies about "Possibilities of Leaks" and ruining water. All Bogus since we have the technology to avoid that even in Earthquake zones like Alaska. SSO don't be fooled, the pipeline bypasses the Indian Land completely and there are NO archaeological sites in the path.

Well, the way I'm hearing it is that these protestors are these poor Native Americans who land is being threatened by the pipeline and they are out there the "Water Protectors" for all of the people in the 1,700 miles that would be affected if a spill were to occur. Still, that doesn't mean these officers should do what they are doing, the officers are provoking them. Aren't they protesting peacefully?

No, They are not being peaceful , they have burned vehicles and construction equipment and brought this on themselves. There are safeguards in place so there won't be a spill and especially at the river crossing its all engineered out for safety.
