Politicians ALWAYS take positions while campaigning that they cannot/won't follow through on. People want to scream about "lack of compromise" but then lose their shit when politicians actually do compromise, claiming "broken promises". A politician cannot compromise and keep each and every political promise. It's mutually exclusive.
The wall won't be built. Not all illegals will immediately apprehended and deported. it's just not feasable. But he could step up immigration enforcement and crack down on sanctuary cities. (compromise)
The ACA will not be repealed, but it will be amended (compromise).
Putting coal miners back to work, that's a complicated matter if regulations, the economy, etc. Over time he may or may not be successful. (That's not an issue of compromise, but making promises that you have no direct control over. Another example of this would be "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor." Even before the ACA insurance plans changed from year to year. There are variables that simply beyond control of legislation.)
