By the time the primaries were over, this was about who would cause the least and/or easiest to repair damage. I think Trump will be an ineffective leader. Most potentially damaging legislation will be blocked (either by Congress or the supreme Court). What does get passed will be relatively neutral (such as modifying the ACA as opposed to repealing).
If Hillary won we would have seen progress....right off the edge of a cliff. Hillary has ties to enemies of America and many of her "questionable financial activities" look suspiciously like treason.
I hope that once the shock of the result wears off, an actual dialogue (unencumbered by ridiculous rule of PC engagement, which prevents honest and meaningful dialogue) will develop. There are uncomfortable truths that need to be discussed.

I'm not sure what you are speaking about. The Clinton Foundation gives 88% of its donations to worldwide charitable causes. Accepting donations from "enemies" for the betterment of the planet is not questionable in my book.

It doesn't matter how the money was used, it still looks like a bribe for favorable treatment. Even if Hillary didn't take it as such, it's likely the donors saw it as such. Either way, if she became president the conflict of interest is glaring.
