I think you miss the point. The 53% do not realize that they are voting with the misogynists.

In other words, you think they're too stupid to realize how smart you are.

Trump voters are racist and sexist and misogynistic , so there must be more racists and sexists and misogynists than you realized. Tuesday night’s outcome was not a logic-driven rejection of a deeply flawed candidate named Clinton; no, it was a primal scream against fairness, equality, and progress. Let the new tantrums commence!

That’s the fantasy, the idea that if you mock Trump voter's enough, call them racist enough, call them sexist enough, call them misogynists enough, they’ll eventually shut up and get in line. It’s similar to how media Twitter works, a system where people who dissent from the proper framing of a story are attacked by mobs of smugly incredulous pundits. I would posit that you exist primarily in a world where people can get shouted down and disappear, which informs your attitudes toward all disagreement.

The Trump haters increasingly don’t even believe in the possibility of reasoned disagreement, and as such ascribe cynical motives to those who think about things a different way. You see this in the ongoing veneration of “facts,” the ones peddled by explainer websites and data journalists who believe themselves to be curiously post-ideological.

That you and the explainers and the data journalists so frequently get things hilariously wrong never invites the soul-searching you’d think it would. Instead, it all just somehow leads you to more smugness, more meanness, more certainty that you're right and everyone else is wrong. Faced with defeat, you retreat further into your bubble, assumptions left unchecked and proudly and smugly proclaim, "No, it’s the voters who are wrong. And women were duped."

You completely ignore the fact that Clinton was a horrid candidate with ideas and policies that were at odds with how 53% of women think and the direction they want the country to go.

Thinking that women were too stupid makes YOU the misogynist.

THAT'S why they lost 900 seats in government in 2010 (House, Senate, State Houses, Governorships) and another 700 in 2014. The Liberal "Democratic" party is crumbling. It's good news for the USA.

No one hates women more than someone who thinks they're too stupid to vote for Hillary Clinton.

Many Liberals think anyone who disagrees with them is stupid. They refuse to consider alternate perspectives. Many Conservatives, as well.

I am not a Conservative, but I used to be. I was against gay marriage, but someone presented a reasoned argument that I saw the logic of, so I changed my mind. I was for the death penalty, but now I'm against it. If someone can present an argument that I can't refute logically, then I have no choice but to accept that perspective. Unfortunately, too many on both ends of the political spectrum refuse to even consider any view opposed to their own.

There are some gray areas, that even though I think a certain way, I accept that others don't necessarily see it the same way. For example, I think it's okay to kill animals for food. Vegetarians do not. I can accept that and would not serve meat if I knew my dinner guest was a vegetarian. Nor would I insist on being served meat if I was a guest at his house. (This was the only example I could come up with off the top of my head, but there are others, of course.)
