Government and internet statistics are not always the answer. It's not the premiums of my health care that are the issue. On the plus side the total amount my insurance will pay in a year is up. The problem with that is the other changes make it impossible to even reach my previous 1 million max coverage. The cost for many procedures covered by my insurance have increased. A routine procedure that once cost me $100 out of pocket now costs me $400. My deductibles and copays have gone up 50% while my max out of pocket cap has been raised. I can afford to pay for the insurance but I can't afford to use it. I can't speak to other people's situations but the "affordable" care act has been anything but "affordable" for me.
Ditto, the deductibles made it unusable right from the start. Its a little scary being in my 50s without healthcare, but I'm starting to get used to it.
