I wouldn't say that (in part because I'm bi), but if it isn't a choice or accomplishment, why take pride in it. By no means should you be ashamed or secretive about it, but I've always felt that if it would racist, homophobic, ect. to insert the statistical majority into a sentence, it is still elitist to insert the statistical minority into that same sentence.
