Our football team also only received $1,000. I support our Band 100% they are awesome! They just brought home their 2nd consecutive AA State champion trophy. HOWEVER, our JROTC team is headed to GA this weekend and they are representing the whole state of KY. I live in a town of only 14,000 people and our ROTC team is top in the entire state! We had to raise every dime it took take take our kids to Nationals, I just think the school funding should be dispersed out evenly among all the teams.

Yeah, we were small town in Alabama of about 5,000 residents. State Football Champs in 92 and 93. We had an awesome band that didn't seem to lack funding and I think our JROTC program was top in the state, at least for 4A. Considering we were the town next to the army base, if we didn't have the top JROTC program that would be an issue! LOL. Pretty sure the football funds got passed around well, but they wanted to make sure the cash cow was well fed and kept the money coming in.
