With all due respect, you said yourself, you're an old fart. I'm no spring chicken myself, and whilst that is what they taught me when I learnt to type on a typewriter, I don't think it's what they teach these days - it didn't ought to be any way, that's what justification is for in word processor programs. It genuinely does bug me when people still do it.
