How to answer without using templates or popular memes bar

Okay, when adding meme go "Add meme in image" and then itll give you a search option. Search for the meme, insert, and resize to fit it. :3

Hmmm ... ok, thanks Narniapotato. I tried it. So I simply have to lay the meme, I was looking for OVER the existing one.

Did you click "Add Image" up the top of the meme generator?

I guess it depends on if its a popular template

If it's not an existing template, I download the image I want to use for a comment, click add meme on comment box or after clicking reply to an existing comment, upload the image in the meme generator, type the text and post comment. If it is an existing template, they sometimes show up using the search for memes box, that seems to work much better on a PC than my phone. Hope that helps.

That's the same way I do it. But every time I want to answer a meme with an own meme which isn't within the popular meme bar and I search it (i.e. "all memes"), I suddenly find myself in the normal "create/caption meme" section. But no longer in the original post to which I liked to react.

So I do it like you, via upload to my personal templates. But I thought, there might be a simpler way ...

I don't bother search, I just add image and upload my desired meme image straight over the template. Sizing goes a bit tonk sometimes but, I ain't bothered.
