Okay, so she was 10. That would mean he could wait a decade for her to become an adult woman. That's not a pedophile talking. A pedophile would want her right then and there.

Years ago in my late 20's I was dating a woman with a little boy and a girl i remember the girl came home from school upset that someone had called her ugly. She was very distraught so I went in and talked with her and to console her I said " When you get older and become a woman I will gladly take you out on a date , we could even get married! You will be beautiful !" She hugged me and gave me a kiss and she was happy ! She grew up to be a Sweet young lady and always remembered what I told her because it gave her the self esteem she needed. I was no pervert or anything like that, I was a caring human being ! Years later I ran into her and said Hey, wanna get married ? we had the best laugh since she had gotten married and had a family of her own .

I've done similar with my girls and nieces. Girls are extremely sensitive about there looks, even as youngsters.

When you make a positive impact on someone's life, it'll last. I met my niece's oldest daughter last May, when I visited home for my little brother's funeral. She's a grown woman with kids ranging from preschool to high school. Bitzie must've painted one heck of a picture about me, because my niece and her kids fell in love with me the minute they heard "Uncle Johnny". I stayed with them again this week when my oldest brother was in the hospital. It's a trickle effect.

Bitzie passed away before the turn of the century, but I never have to worry about her kids and grandkids passing on the love of family. Just because I tried to be a good uncle.

Good for you, seriously. You guys are rare ducks. My Dad was like that, and a couple of Uncles but they were out of state. After my Dad passed away when I was 8 the only man who treated me like that was a neighbor down the street, but I didn't see him very much. Can't even tell you how different life was before and after my father died, night and day. Kids are incredibly cruel to kids who aren't protected by an adult man, and most adults are too. You can believe you did a really good thing.

I can relate. Mom and Dad divorced when I was 8, then he passed away when I was 13. My step dad was far from being a role model unless you count being an example of what not to be when I grew up.

Okay, I see why you're pissed. I did not say he made the statement about fate the girl in ten years to her. He said it to his companion. Unlike Hillary's press corps, I did not intend for it to come out that he was directly hitting on the girl. That's what bothered me. The liberal press, even when giving all the details, still slant it as if he actually propositioned the girl, which he did not. Even his wording was polite. He told his companion he'd be dating her in 10 years. To my way of thinking, that is a method of getting to know someone better. I've had my share of dates in the past, and they did not always lead to the bedroom.

While you may believe that I decided to troll this post, that is not the case. It was actually a show of support. I eben upvoted the meme, something I wouldn't do on a political meme I disagreed with.

I'm trying to prepare myself to deal with whatever outcome. On a positive note I talked to two people today who both said that almost everyone they've been talking to, customers and associates, are pro Trump, but they don't want to talk about it at first. It's like everyone is afraid of Hillary and her constituents so they keep it hush hush. I can't believe the vitriol from people at their "friends" over this, especially Dems (in my region), they're rabid, it's like a giant cult all defending their leader to the death. Gives me chills.
