Top one is the meme (which I assume is a reference to a computer game) and the bottom one is the comment I was going to make. Tell me you get it :)

One Does Not Simply Meme | WELL I GET IT, THE PROBLEM IS IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE UNLESS I AM MISSING A RELATED REFERENCE | image tagged in memes, one does not simply | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
I'm scratching my head on this one ! Sorry

There is no related reference. It's just that for me "crucible" means the Crucible Theatre where they have the world snooker. The name "Thorn" made me think of Willie Thorne who retired about 15 years ago and now commentates. Had it been perhaps a Japanese name I would never have thought to make any reference to snooker and just kept scrolling. For me comments are an instant thing - sometimes it seems I'm commenting on everything and other times I might only make 2 or 3 in a day. This time I lost a comment, gained a meme and created confusion and bewilderment - I'm not sure if that's a win or a lose lol :)

That's a snooker player called Willie Thorne at the Crucible Theatre where they have the world championships hence "Thorne in the Crucible". I knew nobody would get it so there was no point making it.

To be honest, a lot of memes based on pop culture go over my head. But I know that someone gets it. I'm sure some of mine don't make a lot of sense to some.
