Scared? BWAHAHA! That's hilarious. Accusations of xenophobia is a sign of desperation and holds no water anymore. No, I just want people to come here legally ... you know ... kinda like they do in other countries.
I guess you'd like everyone to just give up, surrender our country to ANYONE who wants to come in, disband Customs and Immigrations, disband the Border Patrol, and get on the government dole until it collapses under its own massive weight and debt.
It's obvious you don't understand international finance. EVEN some Mexican officials have admitted that Trump could indirectly force them to finance the wall. If you still doubt Trump’s ability to compel Mexico to pay for the wall, stop focusing on the cost. The cost of building the wall—estimated to range between $10 and $25 billion—is negligible in comparison to the billions we routinely squander on programs that set back our national security. Every year, Mexicans working in the U.S. send at least $20 billion back to Mexico in the form of remittances, placing a huge drain on our economy. Through a combination of legal and procedural challenges, Trump could impound such remittances. Trump could force Mexico to foot the bill for a border wall by increasing visa fees, which is a decision made by the State Department, not Congress. Or he could increase the toll on bridges through the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency.
There are lots of ways to get Mexico to pay. We also have to remember the benefit that comes from losing all the welfare migrants, free housing, food stamps, etc that Mexicans are exploiting.
The question is: Does a sovereign nation have the right to control its borders?
Some people think not. I happen to think we do.
