I figured you would find out. Far out in space, in another universe resides the Salads, a species of cheery mustached salesmen. They had a rather infamous reputation for ripping off the most powerful in the cosmos. At the time, the ruler of the universe was Moofert the Sexy. He was the latest victim of the Salads antics, and was furious like nobody had ever seen before. Cornered, the Salads opened a portal to the planet most similar to their own, Earth. They knew they could not stay, for Moofert would use his sexiness to evaporate the Earth. Not wanting to be responsible for humanity's destruction, the Salads quickly taught the Earthlings their secrets and customs before bailing to the Scorble of Assbutt. We now carry on their tradition with fake discounts and shameless cash-ins galore.

Maybe. :) Burroughs was around the beats but wasn't really of them. But that's an accurate reminiscence. Dunno if you've ever read any of Burroughs stuff but it's difficult; both in its graphicness and its near-incoherent structure. Hunter just had issues.

Nope, have not, but I shall look into it since you recommended. I have heard of Naked Lunch. Wiki says Burroughs was beat? But what does Wiki know. However, great minds! lol We both were on the same track. :))

He inspired the beats but was nowhere as straight, believe it or not. Ex-junkie who used his experiences in his writings, but in a strange, near-hallucinogenic way. Naked Lunch is pretty raw but a fun read if you have an open mind.

My mind is nothing if not open. :)
