I wonder how many people eat escarole soup. Do you put chicken, mini meatballs, pepperoni or white beans? Do you ???

I grew up in Rome NY, everything is Italian. So I always had it with either chicken or meatballs, with the beans. Very good when I was sick, and I was a lot it seemed when I was a kid.

Cool. I'm not far from there, and my grandmother is from Toms River? So I never know if it's normal to have escarole as much as I do.

Its ok in soup, but a little bitter on its own.

Oh escarole, not escargot.

I had fresh down in the Bahamas, it wasn't too bad. I probably wouldn't do it again though.
