Actually, it does. We have to ask WHY would police be more likely to over react when dealing with a black suspect than when dealing with a white suspect? Keep in mind that many of the police involved in these incidents are black as well. The answer is that blacks are perceived to be more violent and dangerous (even by other blacks). Unfortunately statistics actually back up this perception. So how do we fix this perception?
