I sucked at all that flirting stuff and was very shy. Maybe no one ever flirted with me in the first place! But when I met the girl who became my wife, she had the kindness and compassion to talk to me in a way that didn't scare me away and coaxed me into opening up to her. She had the patience to not give up on the quiet guy. We've been married 30 years :-)
p.s. I'm not the quiet guy anymore :-)
