It's always fun to see the mental gymnastics that self-loathing Progressives will perform to rationalize anti-American sentiment like that from a pampered piece of crap like Kaepernick.

Tries seeing the logic in the situation, gets called names and has to bear the tired catch phrases of those who won't.

But you are free to have your opinion, sir, just as I am free to point out hypocrisy.

P.S. I'm sorry if I offended you by quoting the actual US Code and agreeing that he may be breaking it while at the same time pointing out the hypocrisy of singling him out for such an offense while letting the others slide, but it is what is is.

No, you're not sorry. You just told a lie.

Don't dislocate your shoulder patting yourself on the back. Your motives were thinly disguised at best and a child can see that you were trying to irritate people who are proud of the flag. Nobody is proud of an incomprehensible mountain of regulations, codes and often contradictory laws at the federal, state and local levels. Your anti-American sentiment is showing, you might want to tuck that back in.

The entire reason we stand during the Anthem is because of the Code. Don't get mad at me because you're among the majority who have forgotten that and have chosen to ignore the rest of it for convenience sake. Children and slaves obey blindly, free men increase their knowledge and understand their loyalties in full.

By the by, I display Anti-American sentiment because I spent time learning the Codes and Regulations that govern the display and traditions regarding our Flag? Do you have ANY idea how weird that sounds? Am I a Commie because I memorized the Constitution, too?

And I am sorry if I caused you offense. I'm NOT sorry if it causes you to learn about our nation and gain a fuller perspective, which was my intent.

Go ahead and worship the US Code but 99.5% aren't standing up at a ball game because of some f***ing law, they are standing out of love for their freedom and country. If you and that Muslim loving moron Kaepernick don't have that same love of the greatest country on Earth, it's your poverty and no one else's. I pity you. That is the saddest thing I've heard all week... I stand for the national anthem because it's the law. Pathetic.

I didn't say you stood because it was a "Law." Frankly the Code isn't a true "Law."

You seem to be getting angry. Please calm down and read CAREFULLY this time, as you seem to be missing my point and assuming a different one.

I said we stand because of a tradition of respect began BY the implementation of the code. That's where it began, that's how it started, that's why people did it to begin with, and just because you (and most people) don't know that doesn't make it any less true.

The Code is a simply laid out explanation of how the Flag and many of our traditions should be properly respected. So I learned them. Because I love this country and I want to show the proper respect for it's symbols, traditions, and those who came before me who fought for my freedoms.

It's the same Code that governs the proper care and display of the Flag, states the official Pledge of Allegiance, and so on and so on. It is the same Code that you have, I would imagine, defended numerous parts of without even realizing it. I say "without even realizing it" because you seem to not know the Code, but you seem to have strong opinions on parts of it.

So call my respect for and knowledge of the traditions of this Nation "Pathetic" if you want. Doesn't bother me. My love for this country and my intelligence demand better of me than that. I just feel bad for armchair Patriots who don't know enough about our Nation's history and traditions to even know why said traditions exist in the first place and yet feel justified making reasons up regardless of historical fact.

P.S. Do you even know why we sing the Anthem at ball games? Because " %99.5 " of the folks that do it don't, but they blindly do it anyway without having any clue as to why.
