Actually, I'm going to heaven... in spite of all I've done to deserve hell.

I'm not getting into a debate about your beliefs as they are yours and not my concern. However, this is a question I've had for a long time that pastors/priests have yet to give a satisfying answer. If all we have to do is open our hearts and we're forgiven, why do we even bother with laws at all? God forgives so do whatever we want regardless?

As you appear attuned to these matters I'm hoping to hear your thoughts? It really is a nagging question for me and one I'm serious about trying to resolve as it's been bothering me for over 20 years. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I question everything and take very little on faith alone but try to keep an open mind.

You see you have to understand that we are no longer under the law... but... under grace. Jesus Christ died for our sins and paid for them... He revealed this to the apostle Paul... it was a mystery and kept secret from the foundation of the world... You have asked a good question and I wish I had time to answer it better... But we live in a time period called the "Dispensation of the Grace of God" Ephesians 3:1-6... check it out...

It's not about opening your heart. It's about believing what Jesus did for you...
