I've never made a gif

They can actually be kind of fun, I made one with 10 guy and some clip art sunglasses that fly off his face and around his head. If you choose to something like that its a little like old cartoon animation. Or a lot of people just surf and find already made gif and pop a caption on them. It was kind of fun for me to try to get there with all 4. The demotivational was the hardest for me.

They are kind of strange. I've seen several different takes on how they should work, all valid. You can always scan through the examples or I also know a bunch of us made a lot a couple months ago for "demotivational week. Jying, Dash, Lynch, Olympia, Juicy Socrates and others had some good stuff that come to mind.

Demotivationals are really just specialized memes. If you can make a meme, you can make a demotivational. Also, don't get hung up on the word. "Demotivational" is the term used, as they are the antithesis of the "Motivational Posters" we've all seen in school or at work. The message doesn't necessarily have to be "demotivating."
