Check with a lawyer. If you had vacation time coming and the company didn't pay you for it, regardless if you worked or not, that's your cash. If they paid you, through, then the time off is lost.

The case was decided in the 80s. It's part of your compensation package. If they issued you an employee handbook, ,it will cover it. But talk to a legal professional first. You may not get it until you leave the company. A lot of changes have happened in the last 45 years since I joined the lablr market officially.
