Futurama Fry Meme | WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU CAN CONDEMN THOSE WHO CONDEMN THOSE WHO USE THEIR RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH | image tagged in memes, futurama fry | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Fighting for free speech is not saying that anything someone says from that time forth is truth or even worth expression. A right to free speech only means you don't get prosecuted by the government for utilizing it. Public disdain is just as legitimate as public discourse.

What makes you feel I was condemning anyone? Just pointing out the hypocrisy of those who are.

Maybe its the angry face and pointing finger in your meme that feels condemning. Its not hypocrisy to disagree with a protestor, it is hypocrisy to complain that someone else is exercising their free speech to complain about how someone else is choosing to exercise their free speech. Your meme is doing the very thing it is pointing out as hypocrisy.

Your logic is funny in that you're conflating disagreement with condemnation, two entirely different things.

No, it's not hypocritical to disagree with a protestor, you're right. Nor is it hypocritical to share your disagreement, as we are doing now. It IS, however, hypocritical to CONDEMN or try to silence the protestor, as many have been doing. That's all I was saying.

Ah, I didn't pick up on it being directed at those attempting to silence him. We seem to agree that free speech is a 2 way street after all. Also there is no ban on condemnation. I thought the initial protest was childish and disrespectful for whatever reason. Almost as if he was removing himself from America until he got his way. The taking of a knee I feel is a more appropriate display and maybe even showed a little class in the form of an MLK type protest. Anyway, good discussion, I upvoted your comments, and the meme because of it.
