No. It is tribalism. People who want to be "alternative," types have developed food superstitions that reinforce their egos. They know more than anyone about "sustainability," etc. They are 100% wrong as proven by the National Academy of Sciences and noted by 107 Nobel Prize winners, who begged them to drop their objections so that we can get this rice donated and save kids' lives.
