just to be clear these are just jokes.. i have some real messed up things my ex has said that at some point i will make into a meme but not now (i think i only did one so far and it hurt so much reading it i apologized to the people who made comments and deleted it in a few hours)

I think most of us have been there, at least I know I have. This is a good place to let things out when you are ready to. I believe you will find a lot more support than criticism :)

thanks. i have to try to let it go but it was 10 years so it takes some time.. but til then i really need to lighten up my jokes.. my personal life is really tainting the memes lol

Yeah that's a long time, especially if they weren't happy years. I wouldn't worry too much about there is plenty of bitterness out there in the meme world. At least you know enough to want things not to be that way. I got divorced 13 years ago and I can still get bitter thinking about my x wife at times ;)

I've been through a really bitter situation myself. What helped me most was to not hold onto the hostility. I was a much happier person once that clicked in my brain. Mine was also around 10 years. It takes time and effort, but you can get there.

you're right. i need to let it go. it's just a combo of how recent it was and how it happened (not just how it ended but the whole ten years) that tain.. uh.. colors the stuff i do here.i have been working on getting pass it but from reading some of my recent stuff i need to work just a wee bit harder lol
