I was spanked (not beat with a club, just spanked) and didn't die, as a matter of fact I turned out pretty decent. My 15 year old has grown into a respectable young man and he was spanked. I am a firm believer in teaching a child to behave. Let me stress though that there is a fine line between spanking and being abusive. GREAT PIE CHART!!!

Thanks! Yes, I think spanking on the butt when a child is willfully defiant is a good thing for the child. And I also agree with you about the fine line and abuse. :)

Sometimes a random scolding from a stranger will make a child promptly stfu... Yeah I'm that guy.
