It's early in the night, so potentially premature, but considering how much I laughed, it's still well earned.

I wasn't actually trying to be funny. I had never heard of anyone comparing vending machines to sharks before this, so I was worried that someone had an unpleasant experience with a vending machine (like getting an arm trapped in it?) that brought up the comparison with a shark, and I was concerned that everyone was OK.

But I'm glad you enjoyed the comment I guess. And even more importantly, I was glad to hear no one was hurt. :)

Valid concern. I figured if someone actually got hurt Coolermommy probably wouldn't have made a meme about it. I figured it had more to do with the warning labels that are always on them.

On an unrelated note, do you mind me referring to you as "So-crates"? I won't be offended if you want to spell it the normal way, Bill & Ted just had too much of impact on me. I just can't bring myself to say Socrates unless I'm in a professional setting or in class.

Thanks for asking. That's respectful. But you seem like a cool user with pretty good judgment, so just do whatever you think is good, or whatever will make people laugh. If something bothers me and it's important enough to mention, I'll let you know. But I doubt that will happen. :)

Understood. If you ever mention something I won't take offense. I know you're one of, if not the most, good hearted memers on the site. You gave me my first ever "light scolding" on the site, but it made an impact, made imgflip more fun for me, and now I just try to stay as positive as I can and help new users the way you (unintentionally?) helped me out in my early days (two whole months ago).

I don't remember any "light scolding" but I'm glad whatever I said was helpful lol. But a lot of times I'll say the wrong thing to people, too.

I was trolling a bigoted troll along with one or two others, no call out by name.
