I'm on your side dude, but you used the worst possible info in your argument which is why everyone ripped you on it. If you're going to try to make a point to others who don't want to see/hear it, your initial argument needs to be as strong as possible.

You're entitled to your opinion, but taking the FOX News approach to statistics won't change anyone's mind who does understand how to interpret statistics, especially on a site that leans more toward vocal conservatives.

There is nothing to interpret in this specific case or in any other case that involve numbers of americans killing other americans thanks to the gazillions of weapons gives to anyone, including kids, mentals, criminals... :)

Statistics by their very definition HAVE TO BE INTERPRETED, otherwise it's just random numbers.
